a few billion years behind

Seriously. I feel like I must be a few billion years behind the rest of the world in terms of this whole blogging thing. But, it's so typical... it always takes me a few years to catch up to the outside world.

The real point of this post is to announce that my art is now hanging up at MOXIE in Portland! Little old me... and my little bits of art. For the entire month of August, my art will be gracing the walls of a clothing shop that ROCKS. Check it out if you're in Portland: 2400 E Burnside (moxiepdx.com)

I make cut-paper illustrations... one-of-a-kind, hand-cut originals. The bold and simple 'line-work' is created from paper cut with an x-acto knife. My cut-paper illustrations are usually for sale on Etsy (www.stripesandplaid.etsy.com) but I've cleared out the Etsy shop for now.

As someone who wields an exacto knife a lot, I officially give your knife skills mad props. I really love your work.
Do you go through a lot of blades? I hate that sound of a fresh tip breaking off into my cutting mat. My dad showed me how to sharpen them. I'm thinking I need to try to do that because I'm going through them way too fast. But I sure love the feeling a new sharp blade.
