I pour over home decor magazines and salivate over images of perfectly styled interiors with perfect lighting. I would love it if my home could constantly match those professional images.
I definitely reside in a place called 'reality'. My funky plantation chair is usually a storage device for quilts, pillows and clothing. My floor is always littered with dog beds and with shoes.
I can't spend my days cleaning and organizing and putting fresh little floral arrangements on every available surface... but that doesn't change my absolute love of design and decor magazines. They are my happy place(s).

They are my happy place too. Maybe if I gave up my subscriptions I could actually afford to finish decorating. HaHa. Your little pooch is too cute! Love the below shot. In Spain they call these almond trees- don´t know why- because they aren´t. Cheers! And thanks for all your lovely comments!
I like the after shot best - more homey!
Miss Jane,
Regarding the Satsuma Tree / Almond Tree: isn't that so strange? In Thailand, there are no lemons to be found anywhere but all LIMES are called 'lemons'. And the fruit that a cashew grows from... they refer to those as mangoes! And they aren't mangoes at all! I find it all very fascinating.
I agree - Dwell and Interior Design are my favorites but it never ends there. After I spend hours looking at the magazines I go to all the sites of the items that I found in the magazines and continue the madness.
Are you being paid by a magazine company? Your images are mag-worthy! Perhaps you could send 'em some of your images? Cha-ching!
When I was teaching English in Guatemala, I was teaching colors one day and I essentially drew two lemon-shaped fruits, one colored yellow and one green. I taught them "Lemons are yellow" but the girls had no idea what the green fruits were... they called them lemons too....
