Excuse me while I sink into a well-deserved funk. Sadness is turning into physical pain. My self-prescribed remedies will be:

– every Built To Spill song I can get my hands on
– a few bottles of red
– yet another attempt at that whole 'running thing'

Life is dukkha (life is unsteady). Everything is temporary. Celebrate the temporary.

Goodbye dear Grandpa... always quick to smile, to give... and quick to tease but in a sweet way. If there had been a prize for Most Perfect Lawn in Colorado you would have won it, hands down.

grateful for the stillness

I can't lie. Things haven't been great lately. I've been sick and so has the boy. My affliction started with an afternoon of vertigo followed by four days of plain old dizziness. The doctor said it's an inner ear virus, whatever that means.

I'm not dizzy now but I am definitely still messed up. I'm learning a lot from this... appreciating stillness... learning patience.
